Hey!! My name is Cory Krause and I am a 21-year-old college student. I am going to school to become a high school English teacher. I’ve always had such a passion for teaching and I’m so excited to jump into that world. I discovered this passion by helping my friends with their school work. I’ve always been a strong essay writer so my friends would send me their essays and ask for my input. Nothing feels better than when your friends succeed because of your support and input and that’s a feeling I hope I am able to create throughout my whole teaching career. Now, on to why I am beginning this adventure and what led me to it. I’ve always been a religious person; I was born into a strong Catholic family and went to Catholic school my whole life and I’ve always had a strong and important connection to my faith. Service to others is one of the most important messages that Jesus preaches and I’ve always wondered how I can practice that. It’s easy to say “well I’m only one person and there isn’t anything I can do” and unfortunately for the most part in my life, that’s been my mentality. It’s always bothered me that I wasn’t doing more but I truly didn’t know what I could do to help other people in my life. Until a few years ago. A few years ago a friend of mine introduced me to the World Race program and got me thinking about starting my own World Race adventure. The more I learned about the program the more I felt called to participate in a mission trip like this one. Today I am so excited to start my World Race adventure and give back to the world community. I’m also excited to connect with so many people, including you who are reading this. Thank you so much for being a part of this journey and I can’t wait to continue it!
